Ecological Landscape Masterplan

Starting at $1,500+ (scaled to site size and complexity)

Who it's for:
Clients who want a complete, custom transformation—designed with intention and rooted in ecological principles.

What's included:

  • Project Discovery Meeting
    We’ll clarify your goals, site conditions, style preferences, and functional needs.
  • Comprehensive Site Analysis
    Including sun/shade patterns, soil health, drainage, microclimates, and viewsheds. We look for both constraints and hidden opportunities.
  • Ecological Design Vision
    I’ll present a naturalistic design concept with guiding principles like biodiversity, seasonal interest, and habitat value. Includes inspiration photos and narrative overview.
  • Spatial Layout Plan
    A thoughtfully organized plan for how you’ll move through the space, use different zones, and transition between garden areas.
  • Custom Plant Palette
    Each planting zone is curated with plants chosen for your site conditions, beauty, ecological benefit, and long-term manageability. You’ll receive photos, bloom timing, and maintenance notes.
  • Preliminary Review
    We’ll review a rough layout together and walk the site to visualize how it will feel in real life. You’ll get to give feedback before finalizing the plan.
  • Final Design Package
    Delivered as a scaled site plan + planting layout + scope of work with plant quantities and materials. Includes a working budget estimate.
  • Contractor Coordination (optional)
    I can assist in finding or briefing your installer, or prepare you for a DIY install.

Design Install Project Support

Hourly ($75/hr) or flat-fee packages $600–$1,200 depending on scope

Who it's for:
Clients who have a design and want to ensure the installation matches the vision—with expert help laying out plants, coordinating timing, and keeping quality high.

What's included:

  • Plant Sourcing & Procurement
    I work with reliable sources to ensure you’re getting healthy, appropriate plant material. I'll handle pickup & delivery, or work with your installer. The Plants I source include a 3 month warranty.
  • On-Site Plant Layout
    Every plant is placed in the landscape by hand to ensure aesthetic flow, appropriate spacing, and visual rhythm.
  • Client Walk-through Prior to Install
    You’ll physically experience the layout before planting begins. We can adjust anything that feels off.
  • Complete Install or Installation Day Support
    I'm available to do the work for you or to be on-site during planting to answer questions, help guide the team, and ensure the design is faithfully implemented.
  • Post-Install Follow-Up
    A final check-in visit to assess plant health and site conditions. Includes early care recommendations and seasonal maintenance tips.

Seasonal Care & Long-Term Landscape Stewardship

Annual plans start at $350–$550/year, or a custom multi-year contract

Who it's for:
Clients who want help caring for their maturing landscape—especially during the critical early years—and guidance as the design evolves over time.

What's included:
Year 1–4: Establishment Phase

  • Seasonal visits (1–2 per year) to assess growth and performance
  • Weed management strategies and troubleshooting problem areas
  • Editing recommendations (re-spacing, transplanting, removals)
  • Soil health guidance, mulching, and irrigation checks
  • Client coaching on seasonal tasks (pruning, deadheading, etc.)

Year 5–10: Ongoing Management & Editing

  • Evaluation of how the plant communities are evolving
  • Rebalancing efforts: reintroducing plants, cutting back others
  • New ideas to enhance underperforming zones
  • Optional enhancements (bulbs, habitat features, perennial refreshes)

Deliverables may include:

  • Written seasonal checklists
  • Updated planting maps (as-needed)
  • Ongoing relationship with someone who knows the original design intent and can help it evolve naturally
